There are cobwebs
Beneath the passenger seat,
Mold growing wildly in between.
Splotches on the floor
All have a dusky sheen.
The AC reeks of last year’s memories.
I am so much lonelier than I thought I’d be
At 22 when the world’s just opening.
There are so many people and places I want to see,
But I’ve burned too many bridges since graduating.
I’m waiting for a revelation,
One that strikes like lightning in an instant.
Someone take my car, I don’t want it after where it’s been.
I’ll just stay in one place until my early twenties end.
Thom's pick: Slowdive feels just as current and engaging as ever on this one, maybe just as timeless as Souvlaki. From start to finish, it's an absolute soundbath: warm, lush and soaked in melancholy. Damper
Chris' pick: This was a huge return for Crime in Stereo after a 13 year break. Glitchy soundscaping, catchy vocal hooks and attention to detail make this album a fully cohesive listening experience. Damper
Phil's pick: I've had this album on nonstop since it came out. Nick DePirro's guitar is truly incredible and Aric Improta makes excellent use of space as he weaves together layers of rhythm on drums. Damper

At that time, I was discovering many kinds of Asian shoegaze, but I've never heard anything like this. Makes me think of Pasteboard, Supecar, and Midnight Pingpong a bit, and it's funny bc the first two I listen have blue album covers too. Lu
